Vocational Skills

India is a country teaming with life and culture, which coexists with poverty. Here there are many perceptions of the term craftsman ranging from a manual laborer to a worker of high artistic excellence, playing a significant role in the day-to-day life of both urban and rural community.

For centuries, Indian artisans have been significantly contributing economically and culturally, towards its vast and diverse population. The range and diversity of their artistry is staggering. The mastery of their tools, their techniques and processes has evolved and matured over the centuries through social and cultural interactions and are some of the most fascinating and outstanding art forms on display. The avenue of vocational skills is full of creative potential and a palette of resources to advance in life.

"Standardise resources and training can create equal opportunities for all and can be a catalyst to influence economic change at a grassroots level."

Even thought the country is a growing economy and there is a good market, the major constraint is the availability of skilled manpower and the insufficient returns.

However standardise training and resources can create equal opportunities for all and can be a catalyst to influence economic change at a grassroots level.
